“Coach for Life” is the term we use for professional coaches. It has two meanings. First, that you will be people’s coach for the rest of their lives (and the rest of your life). Second, it means that you’ll be their coach for living a better life.

We know that the likelihood of you making a successful career as a coach/trainer for decades depends on learning how the industry works, implementing best practices, and putting in the work as a professional.

BEING A PROFESSIONAL COACH ISN’T FOR EVERYONE, BUT IT MIGHT BE RIGHT FOR YOU.

This series of courses is designed to teach you some of the secrets of the fitness industry, who we are, what the MadLab Group is, and to help you decide if this is a journey you’d like to join with us. We feel the best way to find out is to have you work through these courses, and decide for yourself if helping people become better humans is, making a great living, and having a great life yourself, is worth the effort and time.

WE'VE BROKEN THE SERIES UP INTO 5 SEGMENTS.

First, we have our “Introduction” module where we are going to go over how you can make $100,000 a year or more working as a Coach for Life. You’ll get a chance to meet some of the people who help us at MadLab. And we are also going to talk about why you might want a career in the industry, and how other “business practices” mangle coaches.

Second, we are going to talk about “Fitness Industry Fails” and how the current state of the industry is failing all three ‘stakeholders’ (the coach, the client, and the business). We will also go over some of the ways that MadLab addresses these issues and meet some coaches that have had success using the MadLab system.

Next, we will go over MadLab’s “Laws of Gymmin”. 8 laws that ensure that the system works for everyone.

Then we will talk about sales and relationships and how we aren’t about using slick sales tactics or clever marketing to ‘trick’ people into hiring us. We want to establish rapport with folks before we begin a long term professional relationship with them.

Finally we’ll go over what happens next, what sort of paths are there to take, and what does the journey look like from here.

Get in, take notes and buckle your seat belt. Some of this stuff will be completely new to you and it may shift your whole view of the fitness industry.

And keep in mind that this is just an introduction. We couldn’t put much more into this without it turning into a 20 hour course. We’ll get into the details after you have finished the prep course.

You may also notice that we tried to shoot these videos in a fun and lighthearted way, and outside of the gym. We feel that having fun is part of the recipe for a great life, and we hope that comes across in the videos!
